SA Next Generation Group is part of a National Next Gen network with Next Gen groups existing in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland. Together these groups feed into the structure of Agricultural Shows of Australia.

Globally state Next Generation groups are also represented by the Next Generation of the Royal Agricultural Societies of the Commonwealth (RASC).  RASC holds a biennial Agriculture Conference of the Commonwealth. In 2016 this was held in Singapore and in 2018 is due to be held in Canada.

In the alternate years  RASC provide opportunities for Next Gen members undertake 'Understanding and Assistance Missions' in Commonwealth countries, exposing members to agriculture in the region and allowing them to participate in a hands on approach. The 2017 mission will take participants to South Africa.
